“There’s little time left to finish the roster but I am convinced we’ll have a good team able to make it hard for anyone, even the top teams”: that’s the first words of Piacenza’s latest signing, Loris Manià. Born in Gorizia the libero had initially begun his career as spiker before moving position when he joined Trieste in 2000. He played one season in Piacenza in 2006-07, spent five years in Modena between 2009 to 2014, while he was last season at Latina. He was part of the national team for four years, taking part in the European Championships 2009, the World League 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the qualifiers for the Beijing Olympic Games.
