The young guns of coach Graziosi celebrated an opening home victory in the Serie A2 2015-16 in a sold-out PalaPrincipi arena. They defeated the newly promoted side of Siena and took three points. But the guests made it really hard with good performances from Snippe and Majdak. In the end, however, the protagonists are different but the heart of Potenza is still the same. And that was a special night for Cavuto: on his debut in the Serie A, he finished top scorer with 21 points. Moretti shined as well with 19.
“My first game in the Serie A was really exciting – said spiker Oreste Cavuto – I had a good game thanks to my teammates who took some of the load in dig and allowed me to attack more and score 21. It’s always tough to win the opening game of a competition. Siena made it very hard of us, but we never gave up an inch”.
