Trento signed Daniele Mazzone who completes a trio of middle blcokers with Sebastian Solé and Simon Van De Voorde. The 23-year-old, who has great physical attributes (he’s 207 tall (6’9), will be in Trento for the next two years. Daniele has a two-year experience of Serie A1 behind him, playing first for Molfetta and last season with Città di Castello. Last year he scored a total of 168 points, among which 52 blocks and 17 aces.
“Going to Trento means making a different career choice from the one I had made in the recent past – explained Daniele – I opted to go in a club in which I won’t be guaranteed a starting role but in which I will be able to get better and mature. I’ll be in a club that can be considered one of the best in the world and I’ll be able to learn from two teammates, Solé and Van De Voorde, who have a lot of experience on the international scene, as well as from a winning coach like Stoytchev, who asks a lot of his players in training”.
