Trento is coming off an excellent third place in the World Club Championships, in which they dominated their group before falling against the giants of Kazan in the semi-finals. The Vice European Champions have eight points but two games in hand, they will look to take everything at stake in order to stay close to the leaders. On the other side of the net, Latina has only collected one point so far in Ravenna, while they lost against some of the best teams in the league (Verona, Civitanova and Modena).

Diatec Trentino – Top Volley Latina

PPAST ENCOUNTERS: 32 (24-8 Trento)

Angelo Lorenzetti (coach Diatec Trentino): “We’ve just gone back from Brazil, but it’s not the time to relax or even find excuses. We won’t have time to train, which means we’ll have to pay to the best of our abilities with the things we have built thus far. In a period packed with games, it’s a good idea to take one at a time, and never forget that our goal should always be the victory. I am convinced we can make it, because I have many alternatives in the group and I have players with fundamentals and human qualities ».

Marco Franchi (assistant coach Top Volley Latina): “We’re facing a run of games in quick succession, and we have to prepare them all together. All the games are important to us to get points. We start off with Trento, hopefully they will be a bit tired from their trip, but we know how strong they are. This game, like the one against Verona, Civitanova and Modena, are useful to get better, we have to improve on various situations. We know we face some challenges due to the fact the opposition is good. Then, we’ll be able to play games that are not as hard as this one, starting with Monza and Molfetta ».
