A new chapter of the club history is about to begin: the first ever participation in the Italian Cup A2. The club and the fans have already enjoyed some success in the cup at the lower level with a victory in the B2 division in Chiusi and then in Aversa in the B1 division. And Siena will mount a challenge in the quarter-finals against Civita Castellana away from home. It’s in or out, just one game for a place in the semis. Civita is currently tied in third place with Potenza and the main danger will come from the unpredictable setter Paolucci (10 years in the Serie A1), the spikers Puliti, De Matteis and Marinelli, and definitely from the Brazilian Da Silva, who will be back from injury after a month out.
