We’re two days away from the beginning of the Serie A2 playoffs final series between Vibo Valentia and Sora. Here are a couple of curious facts for you:
Vibo Valentia will have a chance to tie Latina’s record of two promotions earned through the playoffs. Indeed, Vibo had gone up by winning the playoffs in 2004. As for the players, Cristian Casoli won the Serie A2 with Potenza last season and could become only the fourth player to do it back to back with Guerassimov, Giosa and Yoko. However, De MArchi, Tomasello and Tiberti have a record of three promotions in the top division. Both Vibo and Sora have players who triumphed in the A2 in the past: Casoli, Forni for Vibo, and Fabroni, Giglioli and Rosso for Sora.
