Siena signed spiker Cesare Gradi. Born in Roma in 1988, but with origins from the Siena area (Scrofiano), Gradi (198cm tall) played mostly in the B1 division though he had some important spells in the A2 and SuperLega. In 2011-12 at Biella, he also played as outside hitter and made himself noticed by San Giustino who signed him in the SuperLega. The following year in 2013-14, he helped Sora to the playoffs semi-finals in the Serie A2. Spells in the B1 division followed with Bergamo, Aversa e Corigliano.
“I did not expect this offer – said Gradi – I had already talked with the managerial staff of the club in the past and this came true this season. I am obviously delighted to play here, this is my home, and being part of the Siena team is fantastic”.
