Molfetta keeps building its new roster. Its latest addition after Sabbi, Thiaguinho, Vitelli and Partenio is Niki Hendriks. Born in 1992 in Prato, Tuscany, but with Dutch parents, the outside hitter helped Grottazzolina earn promotion in the A2 last season. He came up in the Modena youth ranks and made his debut in the first team in 2013-14.
“I’ve been following the results of Molfetta in the past two years – said Hendriks – Some of my friends played there (Elia Bossi is one) and they told me a lot of good about the club. This is a club that made strides forward in recent years. I was already supporting you last season. At home, the team was almost unbeatable with an impressive atmosphere created by the fans”.
