Vibo Valentia has its new leader! The club picked Waldo Kantor as new head coach. Born in 1960, the Argentine is heading south after two seasons spent at Ravenna in the SuperLega. Before embarking on a coaching career, Kantor collected no less than 350 caps for Argentina as a player, taking part in the Olympic Games 1984 in Los Angeles and Seoul in 1988, as well as the World Championships in France 86 and in Brazil 90. At club level, Kantor also played in Italy in the A2 as well as in the A1 in Siena, Jesi, Catania, Modena and Schio.

“There will be a lot of work to be done, the players will have to be ready to sacrifice – said the new coach – We should never put the certainty to win ahed of the obligation to work to do so, and results should never be taken for granted before playing a game”.
