An italian lifted the Cev Cup, Tours VB coach Giampaolo Medei. He lifted the cup after defeating Diatec Trentino with a great come back in Game 2, by winning 15-13 the golden set. It was a great win for Tours, after the 0-3 loss in Trento last wednesday, the frenchmen came back on the home turf, conquering the win at Golden Set.
Trento lost first set at the extras 29-31, after killing 6 set points, surrendering to an ace of Jouffry

In third Trento took again the lead with a good performance by Jan Stokr, leading until 16-13, then frechmen came back, tying the score at 16, and taking the lead on 21-18 and winning the set 25-22.
Down 2-1 Trento struggled, and Tours took the lead with enthusiasm, 16-13, 20-16, winning in the end 25-23, despite the substitutions of Angelo Lorenzetti, Antonov in place of Urnaut, Nelli in place of Stokr, and MAzzone for Van De Voorde.
In Golden Set once again Konecny stepped up (27 points in the end for him), driving Tours to a 7-4 lead. Jan Stokrstepped up too, and grabbed the tie at 12, butin the end Alves Cabral closed the game on 15-13, giving the win to the frenchmen.

Angelo Lorenzetti (Trentino Diatec): “Tours played a great game, especially in attack, taking home some important points. After two sets we struggled in the fundamental of serve, helping their reception. In third set we missed some chances. It’s a pity, in this kind of games we need to step up”.
