Approaching the first Aku-Città di Travagliato Trophy, which on Saturday will play against Consoli and Kemas Lamipel. Gianbattista Dossi, historical partner of the Brescia team and patron of Aku Medical Group: “A passion born and raised alongside the Zambonardi family: proud to host toucans in my city”

After returning from the Spanish tour, coach Zambonardi’s athletes are back at work to better prepare for the weekend commitment that will see them protagonists of the AKU-Città di Travagliato Trophy. On Saturday 24 September, at 5.30 pm, at the Palazzetto dello sport in via IV novembre, the Tucans will face the Wolves of Santa Croce and will kick off the first edition of an event that we hope will become a fixed appointment.

Gianbattista Dossi, president of the board of directors of Aku Medical Group, is one of the supporters of the first hour of Atlantis and is one of the most constant presences alongside the Zambonardi family. It is therefore with even greater enthusiasm that the biancazzurri will have to defend the local colors, albeit in the context of a friendly pre-season test.

“I have been passionate about volleyball since I have followed my daughters, who in the youth sector were coached by Roberto here in Travagliato several years ago – smiles the owner -. I approached the company almost as a joke, but as the project grew, we followed and supported it, involving friends who are now part of the Board. We grew up together, and together I remember how it was yesterday when we approached Alberto Cisolla in Salò, convincing him to play for the colors of Brescia!

We are proudly hosting one of the pre-season matches here in Travagliato: we will give greater visibility to our town, which has a good youth and amateur volleyball tradition, and we will have the opportunity to offer you a taste of that beautiful championship that, thanks to the passion and commitment , we allow ourselves to face together again ”.

The opponents are the athletes from Santa Croce, co-protagonists of the category for years, but in renewed training: apart from Colli and Acquarone, all new athletes trained by Vincenzo Mastrangelo, who last year led Reggio Emilia to the victory of the Play Off. The Tuscan roster foresees the opposite Motzo, with the Cuban Arguelles, Colli, Hanzic Maiocchi, Favaro and Brucini in the spikers department, the director Acquarone alternating with Giovannetti, the Spanish central Vigil Gonzalez flanked in the role by Compagnoni and Truocchio; Morgese and Loreti are the free. The starting whistle is scheduled for 5.30 pm; admission to the Palazzetto is free and, at the end of the challenge, the sponsor will offer refreshments to all present.
