This morning the Municipality of Fano hosted the presentation of the 29th edition of the Del Monte® Junior League 2022 “Massimo Serenelli Trophy”, the under 20 youth event of the Serie A Volleyball League, organized in collaboration with FIPAV, the Virtus Fano company and the Municipality di Fano, scheduled from 9 to 11 June 2022.
The presentation of the event was attended by Massimo Seri (Mayor of Fano), Barbara Brunori (Councilor for Sport), Etienne Lucarelli (Councilor for Tourism), Yvonne Schlesinger (Deputy Director of the Serie A Volleyball League), Fabio Franchini (President of Fipav Marche), Emidio Cennerilli (President Virtus Volley Fano) and Luciano Cecchini (President of the Hoteliers Consortium).
Those present unanimously expressed the importance of the event: in the first place, the local administrators specifically highlighted how this event is particularly significant for Fano which, also considering the numerous additional initiatives organized during the year, aim to be identified as the city of volleyball.
The deputy director of the Serie A Volleyball League, Yvonne Schlesinger, instead underlined the importance of the return of the Junior League, after a long absence, a real showcase for young talents, and highlighted the great value of the youth activity organized by the Clubs of the A league.
The President of Fipav Marche Fabio Franchini and the President of the Hotel Consortium Emidio Cennerilli also expressed great satisfaction with the organization of the Del Monte® Junior League Finals in Fano.
Finally, Emidio Cennerilli made his debut as the new President of Virtus Fano, declaring himself enthusiastic to host these under 20 Finals and hoping to be able to make the Club grow even more, then thanking the former President Giacomo Iannelli.
