Another new addition to Volley Savigliano, with a genuine Saviglianese from Serie C: Damiano Calcagno.
Spiker / opposite, born in 96, Damiano starts playing very early, at just five years old he is taken to the gym by his father. He played all the youth teams in Savigliano with which he won a second regional Under 14 place and in the same year he finished second in the Trophy of the Regions with the representative of Cuneo. After the youth championships he played for years in Serie D and in 2018 he managed to conquer the Serie C, in which he played in the last five years and of which he was the captain.
Volleyball has always been really important for Damiano and off the pitch he is a new architect.
He reveals that when he received the call from coach Brignole with the proposal to “go up” in A3 he couldn’t believe it, really unexpected. Thank the company for this great opportunity. Joining the A3 series is truly a satisfaction, he knows he will start a little behind his team mates but will try to give everything to help the team.
He has a clear idea of ​​the goals he wants to achieve on and off the pitch. He has already learned from his new companions and, therefore, does not reveal his hidden dreams to us.
