Volley Savigliano 22/23 is really taking shape. Nicolò Bergesio also said yes to the Serie A3 and, therefore, super confirmed. Spiker, born in 2000, player of the Saviglianese “cantera” with strong skills as a forward, in his third season in the first team.
Nick says that last season was not easy mentally and physically, due to distant trips and many injuries. According to him, inexperience and lack of clarity were paid for in direct clashes that would have guaranteed safety. But now head to next year, we must be optimistic and confident; he wants a season of rebirth and change for the new young players and for the change of coach. He hopes to find the right “space” within the new team.
The greatest success he tells us was unexpected: making his debut in Serie A at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche, one of the most beautiful sports halls in Italy, and competing with high-level players. Among the difficult moments he speaks to us of a strange feeling of initial inadequacy for the category (referring to the A3), but with work out in the gym and awareness of his abilities he was able to enjoy the experience of the past year thanks also to the fantastic group. Certainly it was really helpful advice, trust and support from older comrades.
For sure Nicolò will continue with volleyball, off the pitch he is focused on university: he is about to graduate in Economics and would like to continue specializing in Finance.
He is keen to tell us about his passion for the mountains inherited from his grandfather: he would like to be able to climb the highest peak in Italy, Mont Blanc.
For now we are waiting for Nick in the gym, ready to “climb” the rankings and, after two years of apprenticeship, he is ready to face the Serie A openly.
