The 13th and last first leg of the men’s volleyball Serie A2 Credem Banca national championship will be played between Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December 2022: there is also Bcc Castellana Grotte in the group of teams involved in the race for the first eight places in the standings, i.e. to the valid positions to access the quarterfinals of the Del Monte Coppa Italia.
Already qualified Vibo Valentia (first with 25 points and one game to recover) and Grottazzolina (second with 22 points). Very close to Santa Croce and Bergamo (paired in third place with 21 points). All in full swing, however, the other teams between fifth and 11th place, including Bcc Castellana.
The formation coached by Jorge Cannestracci is currently in seventh place with 18 points, the same as Porto Viro, Prata di Pordenone (which at the moment would be the first of those excluded) and Ravenna and four points ahead of Reggio Emilia (which, however, must recover its race with the leaders Vibo). The Bcc Castellana will thus have to defend its position to access the quarterfinals (they will be played in a single match on December 29), counting on two small advantages: it has two games available and will play both at home.
