The meeting of the Italian national volleyball team approaching the Volleyball World Cup started today in Cavalese. In the Azzurri’s meeting there is also the opposite of Emma Villas Aubay Siena, Giulio Pinali. The player, already a gold medalist at the European Championships last year, is training hard for a spot in the team.

Petric and Van Garderen are also busy with their respective national teams.

Meanwhile, the countdown continues in view of the meeting of the Sienese team. The biancoblu athletes will meet again in exactly ten days, Thursday 11 August, when they will go to the Olympic training center in Tirrenia, in the province of Pisa, to train at their best for the start of the competitive season.

Those in Tirrenia will be important days for the Sienese club. The team, made up almost entirely of new signings, will be able to start working to refine the group’s chemistry. All under the orders of coach Paolo Montagnani, of the second coach Omar Pelillo and also of Simone Cruciani who returns to the Sienese technical staff after four years and who will also have the role of scoutman.

In Siena, training will start on August 18th. The preparation phase will then be characterized as always by a program of friendlies, useful moments to get the players back to touch the field and to test the team’s growth in the game.

The first match of the Superlega championship for the biancoblu is then scheduled for Sunday 2 October in Trento. Seven days later, Sunday 9 October, Emma Villas Aubay Siena will play their first home game of the championship, at PalaEstra: the opponent will be Perugia.
