The season has yet to begin, but the sowing that the youth sector made last season is continuing to bear fruit and satisfaction. After sending 7 athletes to the enlarged Club Italia and having received a call-up to the U17 national team for Marco Favretto, two other players from the Gialloblù youth sector will experience the thrill of wearing the blue shirt for a collegiate with the National Allievi team.

We are talking about Riccardo Brescacin and Gioele Miolo, both born in 2009, who this year defended the colors of the U15 from Prato and who will have the opportunity to compete with the best 18 talents of their year in a blue collegiate which will take place in Zocca, in the province of Modena, from 7 to 13 August.

The national coach, Monica Cresta, has summoned Brescacin and Miolo, who arrives in Prata on loan from Azzano Decimo’s Fox Volleyball, giving value to what has been built in the Tinet house in recent years. In fact, Prata, as well as for Serie A2, is starting to become a well-known name also in the national youth sector after the experiences of Club Italia and the recent collegiate between the U17 national teams of Italy and Poland, hosted, thanks to the intervention by Fipav FVG and Polisportiva San Giorgio Porcia, right in the Via Volta facility.

“This double call-up in blue – is the comment of the DT of the youth sector Francesco Gagliardi, after the communication sent by the National Fipav Sector – fills us with pride, but also loads us with responsibility. The path taken appears to be the right one and, in this sense, the certificates of esteem from the national staff comfort us. But we are also aware that there is still a lot of work to be done to guarantee everyone an adequate level of technical mastery and, for those who have first-level natural, physical and athletic characteristics, to compete, as in this case, even at the highest national level ”

“We can only be happy – echoes the General Manager Dario Sanna – because calls continue to arrive which are great opportunities for our young players. This makes us understand that we are working well because when we make investments in a sector, in this case the youth sector, the fruits come. Credit must be given to Francesco Gagliardi’s great work which is turning into splendid opportunities for our boys. At the same time, I’m sure that this is a journey that is still in its infancy and that many more satisfactions will come, always following the recipe that requires a lot of work and a lot of commitment”
