Anastasi: “the team is focused”

The work continues at the PalaBarton of Sir Safety Susa Perugia.
Technical training this afternoon in the Pian di Massiano facility for the Block Devils who showed up full and loaded after the New Year’s break.
“It’s true, I found the team very well, I saw the guys very concentrated and eager to work and this aspect is important and what pleases me the most”.
This is how Andrea Anastasi made his debut also returned to the gym highly motivated and ready for an immediately very demanding start to 2023 with the double close away game in Verona first and then Ljubljana.
“Sunday we will go to Verona at the home of a very fierce team, physically extraordinary and who did a great first part of the season. Fruit of the goodness of the squad, of the fact of having had it immediately in preparation for a large part and naturally the fruit of the hand of a technician like Rado (Stoytchev, ed). Obviously, like all teams, they also have their little problems and their aspects to improve, but we know that a tough and important match awaits us. We will then go to Ljubljana for the Champions League. Our goal is to achieve first place in the group and direct access to the quarterfinals by avoiding the round of 16. We are certainly at a good point, we will try to close the discussion already in Ljubljana. In general, the first fifteen days of January, both for commitments and also logistically, will be a bit complicated, then we will have a more stable period, let’s say, to be able to set up work with greater serenity”.
Work that Anastasi is focusing on targeted objectives.
“My concept is to give ourselves goals that can’t always be linked to every single match and to set up work in the gym from this point of view. At this stage of the season, the first objective, as I said, is to qualify first for the Champions League to have some breathing room, then obviously the most important objective is the Final Four of the Italian Cup at the end of February. It is clear that in the meantime we are playing and it is our intention to give importance to every game and always play it to try to win also because, if certain objectives are to be achieved, the team must be used to taking the field with this mentality”.
