HERE TRENTINO ITAS The yellow-blue team returns to the European spotlight with the ranks of reigning Italian champions and sole leaders of the Super League in the midst of a period that until the beginning of December will see them take to the field every three days. “I am very happy to be able to start this competition in front of our audience – explained coach Fabio Soli, making his personal debut as Head Coach in the CEV Champions League -; Thursday’s game against Ljubljana will also be our only home match in the first round of Pool B, because then we will have to play two away games. Starting well will therefore be very important; we will have to make the most of every moment spent on the pitch and, if possible, try to obtain the victory with the widest possible gap, taking into account that on Sunday we will play Catania again. The Champions League group is difficult and stimulating at the same time, because Tours certainly does not evoke pleasant memories for our Club and Resovia is a powerhouse in Polish volleyball, with an important budget and squad. It’s a delicate period, but we’re only thinking about one match at a time.”
The gialloblù will show up at the event in full; the match will mark the debut in the CEV Champions League for two players of the squad: the playmaker Acquarone and the spiker Magalini. Formerly on duty is the Slovenian central defender Jan Kozamernik, who Trentino Volley took over from Ljubljana in the summer of 2017.
