Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia also wins Race 3 and is promoted to SuperLega Credem Banca, thus celebrating its return to the top category after only one year in Serie A2. Even today, the Giallorossi’s performance was flawless, leaving no way out for a combative Agnelli Tipiesse Bergamo, who surrendered to the technical overwhelming power of the Calabrians.
A practically perfect season for Vibo Valentia, which scored a “hat-trick” with successes in Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2, Del Monte® Supercoppa A2 and the long-awaited promotion to SuperLega Credem Banca: all three celebrated in front of the PalaMaiata crowd.
Tonno Callipo also finished the Regular Season of Serie A2 in first place with +12 points over the second, and played a perfect Play Off: only three sets left on the street, both in the Quarter Finals against Consar RCM Ravenna. Only “round” victories then from Race 1 of the Semifinals (against Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce) onwards.
Captain Santi Orduna was elected Credem Banca MVP of the Finals, and therefore raised to the sky both the personal recognition and the commemorative plate of his promotion to the SuperLega, officially starting the celebrations. Both awards were presented by Massimo Righi (President of the Serie A Volleyball League) and Antonio Valente (Head of Credem Banca Calabria Territorial Department).
