From the youth sector promoted to Serie A: middle blocker Edoardo Mancini will keep his guard up at the net.
Born in 2005, after the running-in year of the past season, where Edoardo has repeatedly proved to be fundamental for the fate of the championship, with his spirit, his seriousness, despite his 17 years, and his determination in facing the stage of the Serie A, so much so as to convince all the management of the Diavoli Rosa to bet on him to increase the central department of the Gamma Chimica Brugherio in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship for the 2023-2024 season.
What about Mancini. He is part of the 2005 group of the Diavoli Rosa and this in itself is an important calling card. 3 times Italian Champion, two consecutive times in Under 17 (2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons) and a DelMonte Junior League U20 in his personal curriculum. His incredible defense on match point in the national semifinal against Vero Volley was unforgettable, which then earned him the landing in the championship final, a tricolor that also had his signature in the final where the last serve was his. In short, yet another jewel of the Diavoli Rosa, to be proud of.
Now is the time for “maturity” for Mancini, to be called up for the Serie A squad.
DT Danilo Durand: “Edoardo is an exceptional boy. He had the opportunity to appear in Serie A already last year and I must say with important results just as important as the goals he achieved in our youth sector. From a human point of view he is a boy who gives a lot to the whole group, always positive and always supportive for everyone, technically however he is certainly a modern and complete centre-back, valid in blocks and in attack, who has a good serve and a good attitude in defence. It will therefore be a real added value to our roster both from a human and technical point of view”.
Mancini’s greeting: “Playing in the first team of the club that has raised me since I was 13 is an honor and the trust that has been placed in me pushes me to work even harder. Last year the “surprise” experience in Serie A made me grow a lot and allowed me to get to this season in which I will be able to fulfill my dream of officially being in a Serie A squad.
