The strong spiker was presented this afternoon during a press conference held in the Milanese and Lombard “house of sport”, i.e. Sala A of the Coni in Milan, in via Piranesi.
In the meeting, well moderated by Rai journalist Marco Fantasia, Kaziyski explained what his expectations and ambitions are in the new passage of an extraordinary career: “I am here to face a new challenge. Participating in an important project, which started a few years ago with excellent foundations”.

In the meeting, which opened with greetings from the president of Coni Lombardia, Marco Riva, the vice president Claudia Giordani and the regional president of Fipav, Piero Cezza, a short video of the Allianz Milan coach, Roberto Piazza, was also shown. “Welcome Matey” said the coach engaged in training camp with the Dutch national team. “I am convinced that you will bring your experience here. I am convinced that Milan will not be the finish line, but a starting line for our adventure. You will bring qualities to the team that we have lacked on some occasions, such as playing the most important matches calmly.”

The president of Allianz Milano, Lucio Fusaro, then took the floor and with his usual verve retraced the salient passages of the season, also focusing on the semi-final of the Coppa Italia. “We were ahead 2-0 then this gentleman…” said Fusaro addressing Kaziyski not before also revealing an anecdote he lived with the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella while he watched the final in Rome between Trento and Piacenza. “Kaziyski’s arrival is an important step for the city of Milan” said Fusaro again, who spoke of the strong link between the city and volleyball, starting with the Old Star Milano, old glories of volleyball, passing through the two projects launched by Allianz Powervolley Milano “Volley4All” and “Training for Future”. Then he turned to the new signing: “We have only spoken to each other three times on the phone to date, I know you will be fundamental for our very young players on the pitch”. Fusaro later revealed that he had reached an agreement with Matey Kaziyski before the end of the championship.
