Lorenzo Sala, the new young opposite who will be part of the rossoblù team squad for the 23-24 season has just returned home after the victory in Chengdu with coach Vincenzo Fanizza’s national team (14 points and top scorer of the final match against Poland, top scorer also in the round of 16 against Brazil with 16 points and in the first match of the tournament against Taipei with 17 points).

With a cold mind he collects the emotions experienced by winning his first gold medal in the blue jersey as a protagonist, before reaching Taranto for the official meeting on August 21st:

“I bring home a fantastic medal from China, it’s not every day you get to have this unique experience: because it was difficult, it was 15 very demanding days in the East and adapting wasn’t easy but we were good at doing it right away. I bring home a great technical baggage learned this summer with Fefè De Giorgi and Vincenzo Fanizza.

I can’t wait to get to Taranto where I hope to be able to express myself at my best: this medal was the icing on the cake for this summer full of many commitments and many sacrifices that led to a great result, fantastic that I’m happy to have brought home with this excellent national group and I can’t wait to bring all the experience gained in the group to Taranto with whom we will certainly do well, and do our best”.
