Mario Barbiero was officially announced and presented this evening at the Palasport di Busca, home of Cuneo Volley’s Serie C and Serie D matches. The federal teacher arriving from the Capital was called by the Biancoblù Club for a three-year commitment as Technical Director of Fiöi, for both technical and training growth of the project.

« Our future starts here: Mario Barbiero in Cuneo with a three-year commitment to develop the Fiöi project. An important research work was carried out together with Alessandro Marino and Daniele Vergnaghi to find the right name and person who could give a strong signal within Fiöi. With the choice of Mario as Technical Director of the movement, the Club wanted to make an investment of a certain level with a contract and a three-year work project; a figure who will help us develop the entire Fiöi project, not only for the sporting part but also and above all for training. With its support, the goal will also be to create satellite companies throughout the region that can teach and disseminate volleyball among young people, so as to reinvigorate the pool and promote this sport and its team principles among new recruits» – these are the words of Gabriele Costamagna about the choice and arrival of Mario Barbiero in Cuneo. The president of Cuneo Volley then wanted to say important words also for the current technical director from Cuneo, Francesco Revelli: « I would like to thank personally and in the name of the whole Company Cecio Revelli, a boy who in recent years has shown great humility in accepting roles that have been proposed to him and he has always performed them in an excellent way. He will remain by our side continuing his growth path and working closely with Mario».
