The captain stays home. Paolo Di Silvestre remains a key figure in Pineto Volley, which in the 2026/27 season will face off against Serie A2 Credem Banca for the fourth consecutive year. The Pescara-born spiker, born in 1998, will wear the white and blues for his fourth season, his third as captain after a season as a key player on the national scene, culminating in victories in the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, and regular season. A true Abruzzo native, Di Silvestre will continue to represent the perfect link with the local community.
The season just ended saw Paolo Di Silvestre as the undisputed star, with 551 total points (456 of which were on offense, 31 aces, and 64 blocks), his best score in Serie A2, along with the MVP award in the Coppa Italia final won in February on the court of Tinet Prata di Pordenone.
