Between continuity and innovation: the technical staff of Da Rold Logistics Belluno takes shape, in view of the 2023-2024 season. The rhinoceroses restart from their guide, coach Gian Luca Colussi, and from a new entry of thickness: Matteo De Cecco, hired as assistant coach of the first team of A3. Roberto Malaguti also remains on the staff as assistant.

STARTING POINT – «This is the starting point of the new year – commented the general manager of the DRL, Franco Da Re, during the presentation of the two technicians -. Colussi managed to lead the team in an excellent way, within a season that, despite the epilogue, we consider positive, while De Cecco’s entry into the staff is in line with the ambition to continue growing».

COURTAGE – Speaking of De Cecco, he is of Friulian origins, born in 1969 and boasts thirty years of experience in professional volleyball: in particular, he played the role of second in Latina, Verona, Milan, Moscow (Dynamo bank) and, in last season, in Piacenza. It was precisely in Moscow that he won the championship, the Russian Cup, the Super Cup and the Cev Cup: an international trophy that he also managed to raise in Verona. He is currently assistant coach of Slovenia. And in the national team he won two silver medals at the European Championships as Andrea Giani’s right hand man: with Slovenia in 2015 and with Germany in 2017. «I thank the club, it was an insistent and pleasant courtship – these are the first words ” Dolomites” by De Cecco -. I was really struck by the enthusiasm of the square, as well as the professionalism. I have great respect for this club’s past, to the point that I would like to retrace the triumphal ride of the past. We know, we will have to work a lot and build from all points of view. But that doesn’t scare us, quite the contrary. A fruitful collaboration will be born with Colussi, I have no doubts: he is the “boss”, I am his squire».
