Great return to the Conad house, after two years Matteo Maiocchi returns to Reggio Emilia and signs with Volley Tricolore.

Born in 1998, the spiker of Milanese origins spent a year in Serie A1 and then returned to A2 with Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, together with Morgese, a long-time free player from Reggio, and coach Vincenzo Mastrangelo: “First of all, I would like to thank the whole club and the technical staff of Reggio Emilia for having turned me on strongly with them, – says Maiocchi – these factors were decisive for the purposes of my choice to return. I am very happy to be able to play in a city where I really enjoyed myself and where I will rediscover great friendships.”

The spiker was part of the Reggio Emilia team led by Mastrangelo in 2020-2021, the year for him to launch in the SuperLega; the following season, in fact, he earned a place in Allianz Milano: “I think I have matured a lot since I arrived in Emilia, it was my first experience “away from home”; I hope to be able to demonstrate it to all the PalaBigi audience during the next season”.

Like the other members of the squad, Maiocchi strongly believes in the strength of the team that Volley Tricolore is building: “My personal goal? Being able to give the maximum contribution from a human and technical point of view to all my teammates from day one. I know that the club is preparing a very competitive roster and this will surely be an extra stimulus for everyone, we will have to be good at becoming a team with a capital S, when this happens we will be able to obtain some great satisfactions”.
