After defining the technical structure, Rana Verona has also completed the medical and physiotherapy staff for the 2023/2024 SuperLega Credem Banca season. Professor Alberto Ciacciarelli and Professor Roberto Filippini have been confirmed in the roles of team doctors, while the team welcomes two new entries, Roberta Placi and Lorenzo Chlapowski, who will work alongside the masseur-physiotherapist Claudio Bignotti.

Roberta Placi graduated in Physiotherapy from the National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski” in Sofia, where she also completed a master’s degree in Orthopedics and Sports. She subsequently specialized in Osteopathy at the BFD Academy in Milan. Her path in the world of sport began in 2017 with the Bulgarian women’s national volleyball team, where she remained until 2019. In the same period she gained experience on the staff of the Volleyball Club Levski Sofia. Subsequently, she returned to Italy, where for four seasons from 2019 to 2023, she worked for the women’s team of Vero Volley Monza, where she also held the role of Physiotherapy Manager of the Youth Sector. Furthermore, since 2022 she has been a physiotherapist for the German women’s volleyball selection.

After graduating in Physiotherapy from the University of Brescia, Lorenzo Chlapowski immediately approached the world of professional sport. In the 2020/2021 season he worked within the Chievoverona healthcare staff, covering the role of physiotherapist, before moving to Virtus Verona the following year. Specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, he completed the Level 1 Maitland manual therapy course at the Edumed center in Brescia, then enrolling in the OMPT (Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists) Master of Science at the Universidad Internacional de Cataluña in Barcelona.
