A historic local company becomes a sponsor of the Emma Villas Siena Academy. We are talking about Mencaglia, a company founded in 1920, which celebrated its century of existence three years ago. It is a company that deals with civil and industrial electrical systems and photovoltaics. It is based in Chiusi, is expanding and currently has ten employees.
The Mencaglia company was recently acquired by Stefano Gailli, who intends to continue the growth phase of the company. Already last year Mencaglia had entered “the orbit” of Emma Villas by becoming a sponsor of the blue and white youth sector: the company logo appeared in fact on the playing shorts of the various Emma Villas youth formations which achieved important and prestigious goals during the sports vintage.
Now Mencaglia becomes a sponsor of the Academy. This is a project to which the Sienese company is dedicating time and energy. A project that looks to the long term with the aim of training new talents in Italian volleyball. The link with the territory is strengthened and consolidated through initiatives and projects of this type, which have both a social and sporting value. As far as the youth sector is concerned, Emma Villas reached the record number of 110 members in the various formations of the white and blue boys last season.
“Emma Villas has been developing and strengthening its youth sector for years – comments Stefano Gailli, President of Mencaglia srl. – Being present in the area is essential for a sporting reality. There is an attachment to the shirt and the colors of the club, young people approach sport and at the same time young people can be trained who over time could even become part of the first team. There are therefore many benefits in operations of this type”.
Gailli again: “In Siena we see a great desire for sport and to play sports. And there is not only a desire for football, other disciplines are also loved, appreciated and practiced. I strongly believe in this trend and I see in it the possibility of growth and development. Emma Villas now wants to focus on a real Academy, which represents a qualitative leap in this sense. I hope that many young people can be part of it and that they approach volleyball”.
