Roamy Raul Alonso Arce, born in 1997, will wear the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza shirt for the next two seasons as well.
The extension of the contract between Alonso and Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza was signed to the great satisfaction of both parties. In the season that has just ended, the Cuban middle blocker player 57 sets in Regular Season, Italian Cup, Play Offs for the Scudetto, 3rd Place Final and the Cev Volleyball Cup, scoring 97 points, 7 aces and 16 blocks.

Roamy Alonso is in his third experience in Italy, in the 2019-2020 season he played in Ravenna and last year he wore the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza shirt. For Alonso experience also in France, in Ligue A, at the Chaumont coached by the Italian Silvano Prandi where he played for two years and with whom he won a French Super Cup and a French Cup.
In 2018 he won the bronze medal at the Pan-American Cup and was awarded as the best centre-back, the following year in the same tournament he won the gold medal, also repeating the individual recognition. A few weeks ago with the Cuban national team he won the Challenger Cup in Korea and two Pan American championships.
His militancy was also long in Cuban youth selections, playing with the Under 21 and Under 23 national team, he won several medals and personal awards.
