Sbertoli already at work

A few days earlier than his teammates who took part in the Olympic qualifiers until Sunday, today Riccardo Sbertoli joined the group of the men’s Itas Trentino Champion of Italy to begin pre-season preparation, supporting the first training session at the daily ilT Arena.
The author of the point that gave Trentino Volley the fifth championship in its history began his seasonal journey in yellow-blue by spending an hour and a half in the weight room of the ilT Daily Arena. Until the end of this week he will work separately, focusing his activity mainly on physical strengthening exercises. “I only rested for a couple of days because I wanted to return to this environment as soon as possible – he explained to the Trentino Volley TV microphone -; there is a new group and a new coach to meet and I absolutely didn’t want to waste time. I feel at home here and until Monday I will be able to take care of some aspects of preparation that perhaps I had neglected a little recently. Wearing the technical clothing featuring the Scudetto was a really good feeling and above all it reminds me of what we achieved on the pitch just a few months ago. It’s an injection of enthusiasm to inaugurate this season: I imagine it and I hope it will be beautiful and intense. I can’t wait to get on the field.”
