After the double joint training on Tuesday with Santa Croce and yesterday with Siena, it is a Thursday with only one work session for Sir Susa Vim Perugia who this morning found themselves at the PalaBarton to carry out the first part of the session in the weight room and to then dedicate himself to the technical part on the central field of the Pian di Massiano facility.
Lorenzetti and his staff focused the technical activity on the basis of what the two weekly tests said to continue along the path of technical-tactical growth undertaken in this preparation phase with reduced staff.
It is the Juventus coach himself who draws a line after the two joint training sessions carried out in recent days.
“We are respecting in the game what the boys feel in training. In the three joint training sessions carried out so far we have experienced three important events because it is difficult for us to repeat this pace in training and so far I must say that the boys have made full use of the opportunity. I had put in two tests close together precisely to give a global peak of work, I’m happy with how the team responded and I’m satisfied with what we’ve done so far.”
With the sixth week of preparation quickly drawing to a close, a first line can also be drawn. Lorenzetti continues.
“Honestly, in terms of volume of work, I didn’t think I’d be at this point in my preparation, but the boys have been in the gym a lot and well since day one. The training sessions were never boring and this means that the approach of the more experienced boys was good because with their behavior they helped the youngsters who were obviously a little disoriented at the beginning but who however with simplicity and consistency were always there on the piece. Now we are proceeding, I don’t want to say at a high pace, but certainly making the most of what our current possibilities are.”
Less than a month until the start of the Super League means that we are approaching the final rush of preparation.
“This is a very delicate moment for experts. They took great care in the first part of the preparation with the young people to help them grow. Now for them the first season of the championship is approaching and it is clear that they would like to do a little more things, they must be good at continuing to work as they have done so far because the time that separates us from the start of the season is not long, but neither is it little and we have to finish it with the style we have had up to now.”
