The roster for the 2023/2024 season of Pool Libertas Cantù is completed with the spiker Andrea Bacco. From the Vero Volley Monza school, last season he had the opportunity to show off in Serie A3 Credem Banca with the Med Store Tunit Macerata shirt, and in the post-season he contributed to the victory of the Junior League by the Monza team, alongside new comrades Francesco Gianotti, Gianluca Rossi and Lorenzo Magliano.
“With the arrival of Andrea Bacco we close the large group of athletes from Vero Volley – says Coach Francesco Denora -, and above all from the victorious ride in the Junior League. The fact that they all know each other so well could be an added value for the group and for the quality that we will be able to express. He is a boy with excellent athletic skills, a great desire to work and emerge, and who knows what it means to sacrifice. It already comes from a first experience outside, we will try to raise the bar again: the margins are there, and it will be able to increase the value of this team even more “.
“I’m very happy to play in Cantù next season – says the Brianza spiker -. I chose Pool Libertas to continue my growth path, raising the level from the A3 Series in which I played last year, and for me it’s a great stimulus. The fact of being close to home, then, should not be underestimated. In addition, I’ve always liked Pool Libertas: three years ago I saw the boys training at the Monza Arena, I know many of the players, and it’s nice to find them again. In short, it is perhaps the team I was ‘rooting for’ in recent years. On a personal level, at the end of the championship that has just ended in Serie A3, I feel much grown up. Raising the level again, I expect to finish the championship even better. I will try to give my contribution to the team and train the starters in the best possible way”.
