Consoli Sferc McDonald’s D-Day has arrived! On Monday 21, athletes and staff met at Molinari di Caionvico for the classic steps that mark the start of the season: equipment collection, first technical session, medical visits and then meeting with the press and fans, before the second afternoon training session.

Brescia’s tenth season in Serie A starts with several new features in coach Zambonardi’s roster, who will have to work immediately on both the amalgam – also entrusted to the hands of captain Tiberti who, with Candeli, Franzoni and Abrahan is part of the well-established senior group – , and on athletic training, led this year by Daniel Perez Lopez.
The new players immediately gave the impression that they had been well received: from the centre-backs Erati and Malual, to the spikers Cominetti and Ferri, to the long-awaited Dutch opposite Klapwijk who arrived in the city on Sunday with his family. In the first training sessions in Caionvico it was forbidden to jump: in the menu there are countless games and exercises to regain confidence with the ball and to refine the technique.

President Gianni Ieraci wished the players and all the technical staff a season as protagonists: “We start this tenth season in Serie A with great expectations and the desire to win. We want to go back to experiencing the emotions of the playoffs and who knows maybe even a final of the Italian Cup.”
Also coach Roberto Zambonardi is excited, but loaded like a spring: “The watchword this year is battle. I was clear with the players: I want maximum concentration in every single shot on the ball, from now until the end of the season”.

The long warm-up phase that will take the Tucanis to their home debut against Castellana Grotte on 15 October, passes through an initial period of physical work alternating between the gym, swimming pool, Caionvico and Palageorge taraflex and sand at the Beach Arena.

From 11 September it will also be possible to train at San Filippo, while the first friendlies are scheduled for 13 September in Reggio Emilia, which will return the visit on the 23rd to Capo di Ponte, the destination of the first two-day mini-retreat of the biancazzurri. In Valcamonica, thanks to the hospitality of the mountain community and the Aragosta Group, the staff and team will also be able to enjoy a visit to the rock carvings, a Unesco heritage site, together with fans and sponsors.

The official retreat instead takes us to Sardinia this year, and precisely to Sant’Antioco, from 26 September to 2 October, when Consoli will take part in the 22nd Giacomo Cabras national men’s tournament, quadrangular with three teams from A3, CUS Cagliari, Volley Marcianise and Sarlux Sarroch, promoted and organized by the Sports Association ASD Solki Volleyball School.
