Tomorrow at 7pm Emma Villas Siena takes to the field for game 2 of the playoff finals. The opponent is Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, who won game 1 at home (on Sunday the match ended 3-0 in favor of the Marche team) and who will therefore try to close the matter tomorrow evening and win the championship, winning promotion to the Super League. Emma Villas Siena, however, is playing for the possibility of continuing the series: in the event of victory for coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team, game 3 would then be played, which would be played in Grottazzolina on Sunday 28 April.

Siena arrives at this event after an excellent championship, with a regular season finishing in third place and playoffs that have already provided great emotions. In the quarter-finals, coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team prevailed against Brescia, winning both at PalaEstra and in Lombardy. And in the semi-final they got the better of Porto Viro, after a very exciting series: a series that reached the decisive game 3, and which the Sienese played with quality, clarity and determination.

On the eve of the match, Alessandro Passaponti, assistant coach of Emma Villas Siena, made some statements: “Grottazzolina is a very strong team, we are aware of the value of the opponent we are going to face. Yuasa Battery had a top championship, they have always shown that they have many qualities. But we are no different and we have demonstrated our value. If we show determination, pride, character and the desire to win, we can achieve success against any opponent. We built week after week, the group gelled and we got to where we are, until the playoff final. I am sure that tomorrow we will witness another sporting battle. We must face this challenge without anguish but with serenity, humility and at the same time with conviction and determination.”

Tickets to attend the match are already on sale online on the CiaoTickets platform. The PalaEstra ticket office will be open on Thursday (match day) from 4pm onwards.
