He was a key factor in the club’s promotion to the Superleague, and rightly so, Tinet Prata’s management wanted to reaffirm their faith in him in the higher division as well. This has led to the reappointment of Gorizia-born spiker Jernej Terpin, who will wear the yellow-blue number 12 jersey next season. Terpin’s pursuit of the top flight has lasted three years, since arriving after winning the treble with Vibo Valentia. During his three-year tenure with Tinet, he amassed 100 appearances and 1,477 points. These numbers allowed him to take home the A2 MVP award last season.

“I remember arriving in Prata,” says the Isonzo native, “with the disappointment of not being able to play in the Super League I had just won in Vibo Valentia, and with the immediate desire to try again. Trying to win it back on home soil was an added incentive, because I have a strong connection to this region and its people. It was a dream come true, and over this three-year journey, I feel like I’ve matured both technically and mentally. Physically, despite the hard work we do here, I’ll be turning 30 in a few days, and maybe some aches and pains will arise. In any case, I think I’ve gained a lot of experience that will serve me well next season.”
