The 2023/2024 Super League championship is moving towards the conclusion of the Regular Season, with only two stages to complete this first phase of the season. In the last round, Rana Verona was unable to extend the positive streak, which stopped at five consecutive victories, ten in the last eleven outings of the tournament. At the Allianz Cloud, the triptych of matches in one week ended for Coach Stoytchev’s team, who are now awaiting the treacherous away match at Cisterna.
Having returned from the trip to Milan, the Scala team resumed their activities following the day of rest granted by the staff. Preparation for the match against Pontini began with the usual unloading session combined with muscle activation exercises. In the first part of the week, work in the weight room goes hand in hand with work focused on technique on the field, aimed at perfecting the system and game mechanisms. Then, on Friday, the tactical analysis phase of the opponent will also begin, before leaving on Saturday morning for the city in Lazio, where the work will continue in the afternoon with the training session directly at the Cisterna arena.
“In Milan there were two key moments in the match – commented Coach Stoytchev following the match against Allianz – In the first set we stopped when they found three breaks and we were waiting for their mistake. Then in the second we weren’t able to reconstruct a simple ball and we got nervous. A result that changes nothing, because we must continue to improve the quality of our work. We are not yet used to playing three matches in the same week: it is a situation that we must learn to manage in view of the Play Offs.”
