In the year in which the Lega Pallavolo Serie A celebrates the 80th Credem Banca Serie A Championship, another historic and prestigious milestone is coming: during the weekend dedicated to Game 2 of the Quarter Finals, the threshold of 1,000 matches in the history of the Scudetto Play Offs will be crossed.
Considering the starting point, that is, the 995 matches played in all 42 editions of the Play Offs dedicated to assigning the Scudetto, and adding the 4 matches already played of Game 1 of the Quarter Finals last weekend, we arrive at 999 matches in the Play Offs. The second act of the Quarter Finals will therefore be the one that will bring the number of matches to “quadruple” figures and, in purely chronological order, it will be the challenge of the PalaBancaSport in Piacenza between Gas Sales Bluenergy and Rana Verona that will make the 1,000 mark be reached. The first serve is scheduled for 16:00, while at 17:00 it will be the turn of Allianz Milano – Cucine Lube Civitanova; at 18:00 Cisterna Volley and Itas Trentino will take to the field, and to close the program of Game 2 will be Valsa Group Modena and Sir Susa Vim Perugia, from 19:00.
A historic and significant goal, the one that will see the achievement of the three-figure figure, as regards the matches of the Play Off Scudetto only, which will make the race for the 2024/25 Scudetto even more exciting and thrilling.
