Volleyball often resembles a book that unfolds through a series of chapters. The first was written last week at the VHV Arena: a test in which the Rhinos faced Tinet Prata of Pordenone. A noble opponent, a superior team, who asserted their rank and took all four sets. But beyond the score, the plots, the rallies, the ideas remain etched in the memory. Because, for long stretches, Belluno Volley played on equal terms, displaying courage and quality.
FRAGMENTS OF IDENTITY – But now it’s time for the second act: tomorrow (Wednesday, October 1, at 6:00 PM), the stage moves to the PalaPrata, in the Pordenone area. There, where the level is raised yet another notch, the white-and-blues will seek further confirmation, further answers, further fragments of their identity. Middle blocker Matteo Mozzato, one of the veterans in the white-and-blue jersey despite his young age, had this to say about the game: “The match at the VHV Arena was a great match against a very strong team from a higher division. We managed to hold our own against some highly-rated opponents and play good volleyball.”
