In Campi Reali Cantù’s fourth joint preseason training session, recently concluded at the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate with Bernate, the Cantù team started well but failed to maintain the same level of play throughout the joint training session. Conad Reggio Emilia prevailed, winning 3-1.
“We knew that Conad, despite being a Serie A3 team, was absolutely at our level,” says Coach Alessio Zingoni, “and that they could have caused us problems in reception, and that’s exactly what happened. We started well, and they were able to play with more patience, making a lot of use of the block. We shot a bit too much, and did it blindly, and so we were less able to adapt to the game than they were. I take the blame because from the bench we could have helped the boys a little more with their decisions, with some different directions, and with some different choices. In any case, we’re working hard: we had an excellent first set, a great comeback in both the fourth and second sets, and we’ll continue with joint practices at our level.”
