It’s Salento derby time for Aurispa Dfv and Green Volley Galatone, who face off on Matchday 3 of the blue group of Serie A3 Credem Banca.
Aurispa Dfv middle blocker Lorenzo Grottoli, fresh off an excellent start to the season, spoke to Mondoradio to introduce the match. At the beginning of the interview, he began by describing his arrival in Salento: “I knew Bernardis and Orto, I knew they were in contact with the club, and I’d always heard good things about it. Then I got a call from Sporting Director Antonio Scarascia and Coach Ambrosio, and I was immediately very happy to want to come here.”
Then he returned to a 3-0 victory over Gioia del Colle: “After the defeat in Castellana, we were a little down, but against Gioia we probably played the perfect match. We came into the game right away, giving 100%, even if the score is a bit misleading because it was a very hard-fought match. We prevailed in the last five points of the sets, taking the lead in the crucial moments. This match gave us a great boost, even though we know we haven’t achieved anything yet, because it’s only the second matchday. Now comes the third Apulian derby, and it’s even more important.”
