Green Volley is wearing its best party dress for its true home debut in the Serie A3 championship. It’s a special day for Galatona’s sports community: finally, a match will be played on its home court after four years of devastating absences. No more replacement facilities, which have seen the team relocate to other venues (Tuglie, Sannicola, Galatina, Tricase), with obvious logistical challenges and… more. Starting Sunday, November 9th, the sports hall will finally be open to athletes, practitioners, and the Galatona community, having undergone renovations and redevelopment over time. Kudos to the municipal administration, which, despite being constrained by bureaucratic red tape and stringent building regulations, has made the facility efficient enough to comply with the regulatory requirements requested by the Volleyball League. The calendar calls for the Salento derby against Aurispa DFV Lecce to symbolically cut the inaugural ribbon, amidst good wishes and appropriate spells, then it will be a thrilling match entrusted to the direction of the first referee Pierpaolo DiBari from Fasano, assisted by Giuseppe Resta from Soletano.
