Born in Nice in 1998, Benjamin Diez will wear the black and white jersey also in the next 2025_26 Super League Championship. For the French libero it will be the second consecutive season in Padua, after arriving last summer.

Raised in the Centre National de Volley-Ball, Diez has played in top clubs such as AS Cannes, Montpellier UC, Chênois Genève VB — with whom he won the Swiss championship in 2020_21 — Paris Volley and Tours Volley-Ball, winning the championship and the French Cup in the 2022_23 season. Before arriving in Padua he had defended the colors of the Polish team PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów.

Benjamin has worn the jersey of his national team in numerous international competitions, winning the bronze medal in the Volleyball Nations League 2021 and two gold medals in the 2022 and 2024 editions. He is currently playing with the French national team in the VNL 2025.

Regarding his journey with the French jersey, Diez said: “I have been with the national team for over a month now, and it is really nice and stimulating to be able to train and play every day at the highest level. At the moment the goal is to qualify for the Final Eight of the VNL, which will be decided in the last four games scheduled in Poland”.
