On Saturday 10 May at 6 pm the lights of the PalaPrata will be turned on for the penultimate act of the 2024/2025 season. The contest is between Consoli and Tinet, the two teams betrayed by the final part of the championship, dominated in tandem for the 26 days of the Regular Season and then slipped away in the Play-offs at the hands of Cuneo, who beat both and will await the winner in the Super Cup, on 17 May.
The path of the toucans began in the Quarters in a one-off match against Catania and in the Semifinal against Cuneo, while Prata first eliminated Siena and then the indomitable Aversa. Since last year, the Coppa Italia and Super Cup have been played at the end of the season and this means that physical energy is at the limit, but also that mental energy is focused on closing the year in the best possible way. For both teams on the field on Saturday, the spirit will be that of revenge, of wanting to seal a path that has seen toucans and sparrows take turns at the top for the entire season. It will be a challenge lit by the sacred fire of pride of the two teams that came within a whisker of promotion to the Superleague and were mocked by the same fate. Brescia is defending the trophy won last year on the Cuneo field, Prata is at its first Cup Final and in its fort it will play with even more determination to make its fans rejoice.
Coach Di Pietro lines up Alberini, a whimsical director and dangerous hitter, opposite Gamba. In position four there are Ernastowicz and Terpin – the driving force of the semifinal – and an explosive band. In the center the pair Katalan and Scopelliti, with Benedicenti libero.
