Credem Banca’s Serie A3 championship is non-stop in the White Group. Only ErmGroup Altotevere was able to catch their breath due to a bye-week, but starting Monday, December 29th, the team returned to work to prepare for their home match on Saturday, January 3rd (8:30 p.m.) against Belluno, where second place is at stake, given the mere two points separating the white-and-blues and the Venetian “rinoceros” in the standings. “We trained until Tuesday, December 23rd, doing a mixed weights and technique session,” recalls Davide Marra, assistant coach and athletic trainer, “then we took a break, and now, between now and Saturday, we’ll only rest on the afternoon of the 31st and the morning of January 1st.” Taking a break has been beneficial for a team that has put together an eight-game winning streak, but has also burned through energy, both physically and otherwise. “Without a doubt,” Marra points out, “the forced break has been beneficial for the entire group: right from the start, we tried to organize our work to ensure the best possible position for the Italian Cup, so the level of concentration was very high.
