Riccardo Capelli, born in 2000, will wear the next number 3 jersey.
Originating from Brianza, Capelli began his career in the youth sector of Vero Volley Monza, where he played from 2016 to 2019 in the Serie B championship. In the 19/20 season he made his debut in SuperLega, always with the colors of Monza.
He then gained significant experience in A3 with Aurispa Libellula Lecce (20/21) under the orders of coach Denora Caporusso, and in Serie A2 with BCC Castellana Grotte (21/22). Since 2022 he has become a mainstay of Avimecc Volley Modica in A3, a team in which he played three seasons of very good level.
DS Lai comments as follows: “Riccardo is a player we are banking on a lot: young but with already excellent experience, he has all the credentials to be an added value this season. From the first contact he showed an enthusiasm that positively impressed us. He will be one of the protagonists of the season, I am sure of it”
“I will arrive in Sarroch with all the enthusiasm I possess” – says Capelli. “The call from the club came quite early this year and I didn’t have to think about it too much because the project was exactly in line with what I was looking for, that is, to have a top championship. I come from three wonderful years spent in Modica and now I felt the need to put myself to the test in a different context.
