Three weeks of training, the first days dedicated exclusively to physical work, then the technical part, specifically individual work, to develop the basics of game systems. A gradual process, a carefully planned preparation, with attention to every detail. And now comes the time to put the work done so far into practice: on Saturday, September 13th, Cisterna Volley will be playing its first test of the season, and not just any test. The opponent will be Perugia, at their home ground (the match will be repeated on September 20th in Cisterna): the Umbrian team is the best, the strongest in Europe (in May, remember, they won their first Champions League).
Ahead of the first test of the season, Filippo Lanza spoke: “This first test, after so many days of training, will be important to begin to understand our weaknesses, the ones we need to work on most, and which ones could be our strengths. We’re facing a top-tier team; neither they nor we will be at full strength, but that doesn’t matter right now because this test represents the first step in building a strong team identity. The first three weeks of work have served to put fuel in the engine, so that we can arrive at the races that matter with everyone on the same level.
