Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena returns to the court this afternoon for another preseason match. The Tuscan team has reached its eighth week of preparation ahead of the start of the Serie A2 championship, and this afternoon, starting at 5:30 PM, they will face Banca Macerata Fisiomed MC, their next regular-season opponent, in a test match at the Palasport Fontescodella.
It’s been an intense preseason for coach Francesco Petrella’s team, which has already played numerous friendly matches. The tournament kicks off on Sunday, October 19th, with the first match taking place in Abruzzo against Pineto.
The final two test matches will both be against Macerata: this afternoon in the Marche region, while on Saturday afternoon, Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena will be playing at the PalaParenti in Santa Croce sull’Arno against the same opponent.
These were two very useful opportunities to refine the team’s tactics and prepare for the final stages of the game ahead of the first matchday of the championship.
