Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena is preparing for their next league match. On Sunday, the Tuscan club will face Catania at home at the PalaParenti. The match kicks off at 5:00 PM in Santa Croce sull’Arno. Both teams lost the first day of the tournament: Francesco Petrella’s team lost 3-0 in Pineto, despite a strong start in the first and second sets. The Catania team lost a tiebreak at home to Macerata.

The two teams will therefore be looking for their first win of the tournament on Sunday afternoon. Emma Villas Codyeco has resumed preparations for Sunday’s match and today held a double training session at the PalaParenti.

Emma Villas Codyeco’s newest addition, 24-year-old Danish setter Mikkel Hoff, also played in Pineto, making his league debut. The team also showed strong performances on the taraflex, building strong leads in both the first (13-16 and 17-21) and second sets (again 13-16), but were unable to close out the sets. The home team from Abruzzo put up a strong response in both sets, spurred on by Krauchuk (16 points) and Di Silvestre (11 points), who secured the victory in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd and took the three points up for grabs.
