Saverio De Santis is back. After two months of forced stoppage, the libero of Domotek Volley made his return to the field in the match against Lecce in the PlayOff, contributing to the 3-2 victory that avoided the team having to resort to game 3.

“Finally on the field! We needed it, this return was needed and this victory was needed”, De Santis began with a smile. “We made a good 3-2 and we returned to the gym with the same determination as always. Now we work hard to be ready for the next challenge.”

The long injury forced De Santis to watch the team from the stands, but the libero has no doubts: “We are in good hands. Massimo Lopetrone has done a great job in these months and I have to congratulate him. It was strange to return after two months, but the team made me feel part of the group right away.”

Already with his mind on the next challenge, De Santis does not hide Domotek’s approach: “I have already started studying the next opponent, Acqui Terme, after the Lecce match. They are a good team with great individuals, and I have already played with some of them in the past. We have respect for everyone but fear no one, as we have shown this year.”

“The determination and cohesion of this group are our strength,” continues the libero. “We have seen great performances against all teams and I am sure that we will repeat ourselves. Even with Lorenzo Esposito injured, we are fighting. We will not stop here: we want to achieve a historic result for this team and for this city.”
